Tomorrow from the musical "Annie"

This fall Izzy has been participating in Pianoberries taking private voice lessons.  Right before Thanksgiving, a fall concert was held where each piano or voice student could showcase what they have been working on thus far.  Izzy's voice teacher, Miss Abby, chose Tomorrow from the musical Annie.  This was never one of my favorite songs.  In addition I was concerned that Izzy might not be able to handle the high notes.  I was proven wrong.  I now have a tender spot for this song in my heart after watching Izzy work so hard over months and overcoming her nerves to get up in front of everyone and sing her heart out!

 Prior to the concert, all of the students partook in a day at the Art with Amy studio creating canvases that portrayed what their song or piece meant to them.  These were then projected on a big screen behind the students when they performed.

Miss Abby and Izzy.  We are so grateful to have found a teacher who clicked with Izzy they way Miss Abby did.  I have enjoyed learning more about her and her life as an opera singer.
