For Micah's birthday party, he liked the idea of miniature golf. When we discovered black light miniature golf (Monster Mini Golf), there was no question that this was going to be the place for his party. Before guests arrived, we enjoyed how the black light looked on our clothes and the objects inside the building. Victoria's outfit was the best of anyone's.
Corey, our party leader, started with a few games before turning them loose on the course. The boys really got into turning each other into mummies with toilet paper.
Though you might not have thought it, the next game turned out to be fairly competitive amongst the party goers. Corey would take away one object from the pile without anyone seeing what was it. The first person who could identify what was missing won that prize. There was strategy as to when you answered if there was a specific prize you wanted.
Micah requested an airplane cake after picking up this toy air plane when we were back in Nebraska at the Air & Space Museum. Too bad they forgot to add that he was turning 7. I'm not sure he even noticed since he liked it so much.
Unlike his sister, Micah was allowed to blow out real candles after singing Happy Birthday.
No matter what happened this year, it was going to be better than last year since no one came to Micah's party. Since Micah's birthday is over the summer, classmates are often out of town. This year a few were able to join which made this little boy ecstatic!
Corey lead the group through the golf course while Victoria cheered them on. Izzy & Bonnie golfed separately and seemed to enjoy being off on their own.
