Mother's Day

Mother's Day this year was low key for a variety of reasons including COVID-19.  I knew the kids were scheming on something when for the past week they were "happily" in the girls room working on a project.  Needless to say, I was showered by their project after asked to open my eyes from being guided there with my eyes closed.  I was impressed when they also took on the responsibility of cleaning up their confetti as well.
Izzy was a master in the kitchen creating lunch for, not only myself, but also her siblings.  Her knife skills at chopping carrots, cheese, meat, and lettuce has greatly improved.  Knowing her siblings would not eat a salad, she created pita sandwiches.  She also ensured we had fruit for a balanced meal.
Not having real flowers available, the kids took to creating my own personal bouquet.  I actually like this one a whole lot better since I can keep it long as it won't ever die.
