Happy 4th Birthday Micah & Victoria!

Micah and Victoria turned 4 this month.  It is still hard for me to believe they are this old!  I have always wanted to have a backyard celebration.  Not having a backyard makes that difficult.  My good friend however lent me theirs.  Extra hands were much appreciated.  A blow-up obstacle course and musician were entertainment.  The party was a success even though it was nearly 100 degrees on the heat index that day.

The twins asked for their own themed cakes.  Micah wanted Transformers and Victoria Frozen.  Keeping the cake toppers was the icing on the cake!

Micah & Victoria's actual birthday was on a school day.  To celebrate with their friends, I made ice cream cupcakes.  A bit of engineering was needed to keep the cake from falling over as they rose.  John's idea of using parchment paper came in very handy.  The teacher's informed me the treats were a hit.
 Celebrating at home after dinner.

It was very difficult to wait to open the presents until after dinner.  But it was well worth it.  Victoria's favorite is Elena of Avelor.  Micah's was a remote control Lightning McQueen.
