Memories of 3 year old Micah & Victoria
Micah
l. Lightning McQueen still rules. The excitement on your face to finally meet him at Disney was priceless. You are venturing out to other 'boy' toys. But McQueen still finds a place amongst the new ones. It reminds me of Woody on Toy Story.
2. You are a soft, loving soul. You cannot go to sleep without a hug. And not any hug will do. You often say please and thank you. You tell me to have a good day at work when I say goodbye to you at school.
3. Sleeping in does not exist with you. Your internal clock is set at 6:15-6:30AM every day of the week. However, you know the rule is not to get up before 7AM on weekends. You are content to lay beside me until then. Often times I'm being poked and prodded by your stuffed crocodile, Chomp.
Victoria
1. Toilet training was CHALLENGING! Your strong-willed personality and anxiety lead to many troublesome moments. But we go through it. Now you enjoying showing the younger students in your class how its done!
2. Any 'I Love You' means so much from you. Those words are not often said. But your actions say it often.
3. You love to sing. You are often signing 'Let It Go' from Frozen in bed which keeps Izzy awake at night. If you aren't singing, you are having full conversations with who knows.... your stuffed animals, dolls, blanket.
Memories of 3 year old twins
1. Riding to and from Disney we often heard that one was 'using my imagination' when the other corrected them on what an item was called. Case in point.... the antlers on Sven were wings.
2. While walking both of you to school, each holding my hand and talking at the same time, you both wanted the other to be quiet. Micah asked Victoria politely 'Please be quiet Toria'. Victoria, on the other hand, held up her hand to Micah and commanded 'Stop it'.
3. When Micah's attention was turned from playing with Victoria to our neighbor Judah, Victoria was frustrated that she could not get his attention. She then posed herself between Micah & Judah saying 'You're not following the rules!'.
