Summer Farm Fun

Summer fun on the farm includes:
Playing with the baby kittens.  Izzy named this one Dusty since he looked a bit dusty.
Feeding the animals.  It takes 2 to feed Lucy.
Don't let that face fool you... Victoria rarely went to the barn.  She preferred to stay near the house swinging calling out to us from up there.
Micah couldn't get enough of the farm.  He loved the tractors especially this one since it was also a 'digger'.  Opa even took him to the big dirt pile and let him 'dig' to his hearts delight.  Victoria joined in with the rocks.

Dress up time.  Good thing Oma & Opa kept our ballet costumes from 1980-something.  I think every grandchild has worn them at one point or another.
One of our last activities was to go fishing.  Izzy has been asking to do this for awhile.  Victoria was a bit under the weather so she stayed at home with Oma while Micah, Izzy, Opa and I went fishing at a neighbor's pond.  Micah caught 2 fish quickly.  Izzy was a bit bummed that she hadn't caught any at that point but had many nibbles.  Eventually she got 2 fish as well.  We would have had more but these fish were very tricky... they would just nibble the worms off the hooks quick enough to not get nabbed.

 I got a fish, finally!

What better to do on a summer day but water balloons and a water gun fight.  Micah got pretty good with his target being Opa.
The last day we were at the farm, I was able to meet up with Jess, my good friend from medical school.  We enjoyed walking around the Haymarket, shopping and eating some good food.
