Summer Trip to the Farm

In June, Izzy & I took a trip back to the farm to spend some R&R before the twins arrive.  After that, I'm not sure when we'll be able to visit and so wanted to take opportunity of this time.
While there it was the Days of Hanover which include a parade and midway.  After the parade we headed down.  Izzy wanted to ride this small roller coaster.  However, her height didn't allow her to go by herself.  Any my pregnancy prevented me from going with her.  So, being a good Opa, he went but couldn't fit into her car.  The controller let him sit behind her.  She had a blast.  Thanks Opa!

Don't for a minute think that a 3 year old won't out beat older kids when candy is involved.  Without much prompting she got right into the knack of grabbing all the candy she could find when they threw it out.
Here's her candy loot to show for it
What is more fun then playing with all the animals on the farm.  And since it was in the midst of kitten season, Izzy got a chance to love a smaller version of Clay.
Waiting for the parade to start with our bag for candy.
We spent a day at the Lincoln Children's zoo which is such a great attraction for this age.
They had a petting / feeding area with goats, cows & lamas.  Though she wanted to feed the smaller goats, the larger ones always stole their food which Izzy didn't like.  But she loved the lamas.
 Riding Cinderella the horse.
At the end of the day we rode the train around the zoo... a treat my grandma & grandpa would do for Diane & I.  Still fun at this age.
