Random Fun

 Bath foam can results in so many creative uses.  Micah has swim trunks on but sat down before I could get the picture.

 We all want to eat corn on the cob.  Duh mommy.  We don't want it cut off when you and Izzy are eating it that way.

 I really love umbrellas.

 They make a good fort when we can't go outside because it is raining!

Boo-Boo

This past week I received a call from Micah's school about an accident.  Ellen, his teacher, described what happened.  He was pushed on their walk home and fell scraping his face on the sidewalk.  Ellen then said she is not allowed to tell me which child pushed him.  I said, let me guess... his sister.  Of course.  I guess after she pushed him she started to laugh.  Now they are not buddied up on the rope to prevent this from happening again.  Though his face looks bad, he's still a happy sweet boy.  He rolls well with the punches!

Izzy Turns 5!

 Two of Izzy's school friends birthdays are within 4 days of Izzy's.  In the past, their birthday parties have overlapped resulting in them missing out celebrating with each other.  This year, we decided to have Jayden, Jacob & Izzy celebrate together.  We attempted games (pass the lime) but they had more fun with unstructured play.

 Pizza is a must for food.  Izzy is with her best friends; Leelah (behind her), Mia and Aesha.

 We has small cupcakes that they could blow out the candles.

 Micah & Victoria enjoyed them as well.

For school, I made monster cupcakes.  They were a hit with the kids.  Not sure if the teachers enjoyed them though... HA!

For Izzy's birthday, she got a very special present.  Thank you to Oma & Opa and the Dieckman's for helping make this occur.  She loves it!

We have been having fun with identifying our body parts.  They are just so cute when they do it, I wanted to share with all of you.

Almost-Summer Time Fun

 The weekend before Easter, it was a balmy 60-something degrees.  The whole courtyard spent the day outside.  The kids initially started with bubbles and hide-n-go-seek.  After a bit, they all put on their swimsuits and played with the water hose.  This then turned into a war with umbrellas.  I had just as much fun watching their creativity as they did playing.  They all looked cold at the end but I guess that is what you get with such a long winter this year!

Easter on the Farm

 This year for Easter we all adventured back to the farm to celebrate with Oma & Opa.  Though this was a short visit, we all enjoyed our time together with many activities.  I know Izzy in particular had fun as she cried when we left saying she wanted to stay with Oma & Opa longer.  We dyed Easter eggs on Saturday.  Micah couldn't figure out why Opa couldn't wipe off the green color from his hands.

 In our tradition, we show off our favorite eggs.

 Odell had a town Easter Egg hunt.  The kids were separated by age with the youngest going first.  East child could pick 4 eggs which contained candy.  They could then take them into the Legion where they would get money for their eggs and visit the Easter Bunny.  It took Victoria a bit to figure out what to do.  But when she did, she kept picking up eggs.  She quickly figured out I was then putting them back down so tried to hold as many as she could in her arms.

 After church there is a tradition of eating breakfast in the basement as service is early.  There was alot of running around and smiles.  I took on the challenge of making their outfits.  This will likely be the only outfit for Micah as their are not alot of choices for boys.  But he sure looked handsome.

 After taking a nap from church, we had an Easter Egg hunt on the farm.

 Unfortunately Grandma hurt her hip a few weeks before Easter and required surgery.  We made a visit after church.  Four generations together!

 A trip to the farm would not be complete without fun.  The swings were a favorite for all.  Feeding the animals is another routine we all enjoyed.

My Hoarder

 One of Victoria's nicknames is 'Hoarder'.  Ever since she was a baby (see below) she had to have something in her hands.  And it wasn't just one thing.  It was as many as she could hold.  As a baby it was socks.  Not it is all over her lovies.  She has to have her blanket, 2 monkey's, 2 Hello Kitties and as many small lovies.  She even has to hold onto them when I change her.  After awhile you can't even see her under the pile except for her bum to put on a new diaper.  Not quite sure what this personality feature means when she gets older.
