Dyeing Easter Eggs

 Saturday before Easter we were able to dye some eggs.  Izzy was so patient with her eggs making sure they were the exact color she wanted.  While waiting we had the opportunity to all act goofy.

This past week Abe & I went to see Bruce Springsteen and let me tell you.... one of the best concerts I've ever experienced.  It was amazing to see a 62 year old man perform in that way.  He had more energy than most people 1/2 his age... which I guess would be me :-)  He played for 2 hours only taking a break to grab a drink and exchange guitars.  He then came back for an hour encore.  Amazing!  If you ever have a chance to see him, go do it.

Izzy's Message

 We are finally pleased to formally announce our family is getting bigger… exponentially.  Some of you are already in the know but we are expecting twins!  Izzy is just now seeming to get the idea with a lot of help from daycare.  I don't think she knows whats coming her way but will be a really big help for mommy.  We are officially due on 9/5/12… we'll just see if I can make it that long.

Jonah's 3rd Birthday Party

Recently we celebrated Jonah's 3rd birthday.  Two of my co-works / good friends had their 1st children around the same time as I did with Izzy.  They are all ~6 weeks apart with Jonah being the 1st of the birthdays.  His parents decided to celebrate at a place called JumpAround… and indoor playground filled with all sorts of play structures.  But what they are experts about is the blow-up play objects.  You have to be 3 years old to even participate.

 Leelah found this one very intimidating but Izzy wanted to do it right away.  Mom caved but really was excited to get on it as well.  Who knew what we were getting ourselves into.

 The drop is pretty steep and I thought Izzy would scream.  She didn't but mommy did.

 One look at that face should tell you how much she enjoyed it.  We had to go over and over again.  I even had to ask my friend Danielle to take her because it was getting too much for me.  I think we have a little dare devil in our family.

It was a great weekend.  She almost fell asleep in the car at 11:30… exhausted Izzy.

Bonnie's B-day Party

 This past weekend was one of Izzy's best friend's birthday… Bonnie.  She celebrated turning 3 at a local art center.  There were different stations that the kids could paint, create a puppet, a sculpture and a fruit-loop necklace.  Afterwards, due to very nice weather, they all headed outside to play.

This by far was the coolest thing to do.  The kids could pick out their colors and squirt them on a spinning paper making some pretty neat designs.

Fun over Christmas with Oma & Opa

 The first stop with Oma & Opa was the Museum of Science.  Abe & I were there only once a long time ago so I didn't know if this was something suitable for a toddler.  But there were many things that Izzy found fascinating.  And the adults did too.
