Love Tractors

After visiting the farm, it was discovered how much Micah enjoys tractors.  When we came home, we got out the tractors that Opa had given them when they were babes.  Micah was in heaven.

Unfortunately, as time went on the front tires fell off one by one.  That doesn't seem to bother him too much.  He prefers this tractor over the new one I bought him.

Wiggly Tooth

Two wiggly teeth were discovered at Izzy's last dentist appointment.  It was only a matter of time.  At lunch last weekend, she told me the one was almost falling out.  Sure enough, she pushed with her tongue and out it came.  We put it into Toothie for the Tooth-fairy to come that night.  The other wiggly tooth is still hanging in there.  Only a matter of time before another visit from the Tooth-fairy.

LCSH Pre-K Graduation

Tonight was Izzy's Pre-K Graduation.  The night started with a play that they've been working on all year.  Each week they have theater class as part of their curriculum.  The kids come up with all the characters and storyline through the year.  Izzy's class play was titled... "Hats, Hats, Hats".

The story starts out with 6 prairie dogs who have hats.  Other animals (snakes & camels) don't.  The leaders of the camels and snakes devise a plan to take the prairie dog hats.  This is overheard by the wise cactus (Izzy) who then in turn asks help from the magical kangaroos to grant all the animals hats.
The director of theater class narrated the play but key characters had lines.  Izzy had by far the most and at one point had a solo performance.  She was amazing.  I think I see her calling.  She is very theatrical.
The finale was a song call 'Hats, Hat's, Hat's... very cute and well done.
Our favorite musician, Wayne, was here leading the kids in a variety of songs.  This ranged from Elvis' Hound Dog to Garden Grow to This Land is Your Land.  They also sang You Are My Sunshine which brought tears to my eyes as this was one of grandpa's favorite songs.

Izzy receiving her diploma from the school director, Ina.

It's official... she's ready for Kindergarten.

So very proud of my baby and her class.  They worked hard on tonight's celebration.

Drumlin Farm

Due to the beautiful weather, we ventured outside Boston to Drumlin Farm.  Unknown to us, it was Dairy Day to mark the beginning of National Dairy Month.  That meant there was a lot of activities surrounding all things dairy.
As always, the chicken house was a favorite amongst us all.

Everyone got to practice milking 'Bertha' and 'Matilda'.

Almost ready for market.
We got to ride a hayrack with the Dairy Princess and wave royally to those we passed.
