As a little girl, my aunt Cathy (a talented seamstress) made my sister and I these bunny sleeping bags. Mine was blue & Di's was pink. Since mom & dad were going to come up for graduation, the trip turned into also helping do some home improvements. One of them was converting Izzy's room into a 'big girl' room. So they packed up most of my childhood items including my bed and drove them halfway across the country. One of those items was my bunny sleeping bag. Today was brought it out when I was trying to put away extra blankets. It caught the eye of Izzy when she was watching TV. I think this may be getting a second shot of life :-) Thanks aunt Cathy!

Graduation…. FINALLY!
This past week was the Children's Hospital Boston Neurology Graduation. I was fortunate to have mom & dad make the long drive to celebrate. Since graduating from high school, this is the 3rd and final graduation which made it surreal for me. I've been in training so long, picturing this day seemed like it would never happen. But it did!
Every year graduation takes place at the Harvard Faculty club. We always try to get a faculty & resident picture for that year.
We had a moment to capture a family picture during the celebration. A good time was had by all.
Receiving my diploma from Dr. Pomeroy (talking, Chief of Neurology) & Dr. Urion (Program Director of the Residency program).

Baking with Izzy
Since Izzy obtained a tower that allows her to be at the counter height in the kitchen, cooking is much more easier and fun. Today, we decided to try & make chocolate muffins for breakfast over the week. I would scoop the cocoa in small quantities into the measuring cup and she would dump. She progressively got excited until the point she tried to throw the cocoa into the bowl. Unfortunately, this resulted in the cocoa landing everywhere except the bowl. But we still had fun and enjoyed our creations at the end.

Izzy's Art Show
This time of the year, Izzy's 'school' has their art show. They collect certain pieces of art that the kids did throughout the year for display and invite the parents for a viewing. Izzy is standing next to one of her creations… no… not the one she's pointing at. It's the one in the left upper corner (red, blue & green).
This is just a small version of what the park looks like. The pictures almost span the entire perimeter fence.
A second work of art from Izzy.
Feed the Need 5K
Today our church held a 'Feed the Need' 5K. Registration was food items that were donated to the local food pantry. They asked if Abe & I could help out with the first aid station. While Izzy & I manned that, Abe ran in the race. It was his very first official race.
When Abe came to the end, Izzy ran up to him and they crossed the finish line together.
Here is the very start of the race. Abe didn't quite look the same at the end though :-) Good job Habibi!

Izzy's visit to the Farm
Izzy & I made the trip back to the farm this past weekend. As Oma & Opa are building a new house, we stayed in the camper with them. This wasn't as bad as imagined given that the camper is a semi-spacious. It didn't matter anyway as all Izzy wanted to do was "go outside?". We were pleased to find some baby kitty-cats as well and even got to hold one.
Izzy loved to feed the animals. She especially enjoyed giving Lucy a spoon full of soft food.

The new house was fun to explore. Izzy & Lucy went round & round the rooms as no walls were in place.
One of the days was extremely hot (88 degrees and HUMID). To give Izzy some relief, Opa got out the water hose. He then taught her how to drink from it.
Izzy got into the tub of water without an reservations loving to water that trickled out of the hose.
Leave it to Oma to come up with a solution for bathing Izzy as the camper did not have a bath tub.
Mama took Izzy for an ATV ride on our last day on the farm.
To our surprise, my good friend from medical school made it back as well with her newest addition, Rowan. Quinn was born only 2 days after Izzy. This was the first time I have seen them since Izzy was born.

Izzy loves 'firetrucks', 'buses', 'big trucks' and 'ambulances'. So it came to no surprise that she loved the big grain truck… which sat right beside the camper. Izzy could see it out of the window.
A trip to the farm would not be complete without seeing the tractor. It may have been a bit too big for her as she was some what scared. However, next time she may love it.
High School Class Reunion
This past Memorial Day Weekend, Odell celebrated their alumni banquet. This also happened to be our 15 year high school class reunion. Out of 12 classmates, 7 of us made it back. One even came from the west coast while I represented the east coast. We were able to meet at Andrea's house for a cookout before the banquet that night. It was fun also to see all the kids from our class as well.
